Description of Consultations
Standard Consultation – an initial consultation lasts for approximately 50 mins. The initial consultation involves history taking, assessment, and exploring what you would like to get from the sessions (including treatment planning). Subsequent sessions will be working on your goals and plans.
90 min Consultation – at times, the 50 mins sessions, just don’t seem to cover enough, and you may feel like you’re not doing deep enough. I also offer 90 mins sessions, so we can do deeper into what you need without feeling rushed. This is often useful for trauma processing.
Tailored Intensive Packages – I offer intensive therapy packages designed to suit your individual needs and goals. These packages provide extended sessions and focused support to help you work through specific issues more deeply and efficiently. Please contact me if you’re interested in finding out whether this approach is right for you.
15 minute phone call (New clients only) – I offer a free 15 minute consultation to answer any queries and help establish if an online psychology service with Finding Your Flow will be the right fit for you. Click here to book this!
Payment Information
We take credit card details in our intake paperwork, and payments can be collected directly following your session, or you could pay in advance. If you are unable to make an appointment, we can either assist with rescheduling, or if you choose not to go ahead with a session, then we will refund your payment, if you have paid in advance.
Rebates
Medicare
You may be eligible for a Medicare rebate for telehealth (online counselling) under the Better Access for Mental Health Scheme.
To get access to this scheme, firstly you will need to visit a General Practitioner (GP) who will assess if you are eligible and will complete a Mental Health Care Plan. Please ask the GP for an extended appointment for this assessment, as they will need time to complete this process. Alternatively, you can get a referral letter from your psychiatrist, if they assess that you are eligible.
The Better Access initiative will provide you with up to 10 sessions per calendar year. You will receive a rebate of $145.25 for clinical psychology services. You are welcome to attend more sessions if it is appropriate, but you will not receive a rebate for sessions over 10 per calendar year. You will need to pay for the whole amount of the session upfront, and the rebate will be refunded to you into your bank account.
Private Insurance
If you have private health insurance, please check with your provider to find out if you are eligible for a rebate for psychological care, and how to make a claim.
Third Party Funding Options
Workcover: I accept a limited number of Workcover clients, who need psychological support under the Workcover claim.
